The brief
Hansen Yuncken engaged Bridgeman to deliver the industrial sized custom bollards, commercial kitchen and various sets of stainless pieces for Hilton Foods Australia new 25 000 sqm meat processing and distribution centre in
Heathwood. There were 106 unique items delivered and installed with varying quantities of each.

Stainless Bollards
Given the volume of pallets being moved around the processing and distribution facility constantly, health and safety is of utmost priority. Three types of bespoke stainless bollards totalling over 200 individual items were
designed and installed by Bridgeman to prevent the risk of forklifts damaging the walls and high traffic doorways.

Commercial Kitchen
The commercial kitchen caters for up to 400 staff that work in the facility. Bridgeman fabricated and installed the
commercial kitchen for the staff eatery including custom exhaust hoods and ducting, preparation and servery benches, storage, sinks and supplied all the equipment – heavy duty gas burners, microwaves, fridges and freezers,
dishwashers and many other specific items.

Stainless Doors, Lockers and Laundry
Considering the production area is a strict food safe
environment, every person that enters the sterile space is required to where a full body suit and wear company
supplied boots. In the area where staff and visitors are to get changed, Bridgeman designed a set of large scale
stainless doors, a stainless steel change locker and full stainless laundry room and chute.

The result
Bridgeman were able to work through all issues, with high quality final output. Hansen Yuncken’s site manager on the project, Tristan Sugden, said “Bridgeman met a tough deadline to produce, install and fit everything. They welded the tops of over a hundred bollards on site and polished them all up for us.”
