Bwgcolman Community School, Palm Island

Bridgeman was awarded the Bwgcolman Community School project by the Queensland Department of Education, delivering a new Administration Building and Home Economics Building on remote Palm Island. This project created meaningful opportunities through a strong Indigenous supply chain, high levels of Indigenous workforce participation, and genuine cultural engagement with Traditional Owners. To further support long-term community growth, Bridgeman introduced a free six-month Capability Uplift Program, tailored to help local Indigenous and Palm Island businesses successfully participate in Queensland Government projects. These new facilities are more than just buildings, they are places where knowledge will be shared, friendships formed, and futures built for the Palm Island community.
