Bridgeman Recognised for Outstanding Service and Leadership to the Indigenous Community

Leading by example is what Bridgeman believes in when it comes to making a positive change in Indigenous peoples lives.

Bridgeman was recently presented with the 2022 Dickson Small Business of the Year Award by Hon Peter Dutton MP Federal Member for Dickson and Minister for Defence, in recognition of outstanding service and leadership to the Indigenous community.

Their Senior Executive Team includes Owner and Managing Director, Adam Sarota, a proud Traditional Owner and Yidinji man and highly regarded former Socceroo and Owner and Managing Partner, Jade North, a proud Indigenous man from Biripi Country, a heavily decorated former Socceroo Captain, Olympian, NAIDOC Sportsperson of the Year, and Co-Chair of Football Australia’s National Indigenous Advisory Group.

Bridgeman’s Managing Director, Adam Sarota says that as an Indigenous owned and operated and Supply Nation certified company, Bridgeman is committed to ensuring they provide leadership, support, opportunity, and encouragement to Indigenous people.

“As an organisation we are focused on empowering our communities and developing leaders for tomorrow and we are very proud to be recognised formally for our efforts” says Managing Director, Adam Sarota.

Bridgeman’s programs include, One Mob Initiative, Bridging the Gap, Kickin’ with a Cuz, Futures Program, Career Transition Program and Women in Construction Pathway and they also support the Prime Minister’s Veteran’s Employment Program and Givit Foundation.

Bridgeman also works with Traditional Owners on a range of community engagement matters, and engages with Australian Government Agencies to facilitate the alignment of businesses and employment and training outcomes for Indigenous People across Australia. Managing Partner, Jade North says the company has specifically chosen to engage the services of Indigenous suppliers and organisations whose social mission is centred on benefiting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and those who are considered disadvantaged in their local community.
